Hans Christian Ørsted, Danish physicist and chemist. H.C. Ørsted has been epoch-making in science, i.a. with the discovery of the element Aluminum, electromagnetism etc. as well as confirmed several physical theories. Today, several things are named after him, H.C. Ørsted’s road, H.C. Ørsted’s work, H.C. Ørsted’s institute and most recently a space probe is named after him.
